Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains what data the Strudel Discord bot ("the bot") stores, why, and how you can have it deleted. Strudel only stores what it needs to make its features work and never sells or shares data for advertising.

2. Data we store

  • Server settings: server ID and the configuration admins choose, such as channel IDs, role IDs, AutoMod settings and blocked words.
  • Level system: your Discord user ID and XP per server.
  • Counting: the current count, the record and the user ID of the last person who counted.
  • Temporary voice channels: the channel ID and the user ID of its owner, while the channel exists.
  • Tickets: ticket number and type, the user IDs of the person who opened, claimed and closed it, the reason entered in the ticket form, the close reason and timestamps.
  • Notifications: the YouTube channel, Twitch channel or GitHub repository being followed, the target Discord channel and the custom message.

3. Message content

To run AutoMod, counting and the level system, the bot reads messages in channels it can see. Message content is processed in memory and not stored. The only exception: if a server enables the AutoMod log, messages removed by AutoMod are posted to the log channel that the server's admins chose.

When a ticket is closed, the bot creates a transcript of the ticket channel (messages, names, avatars and attachment links). The transcript is sent only to the server's ticket log channel, where the server's support team can access it. The person who opened the ticket receives a short notification by direct message. Strudel itself does not keep a copy.

4. Why we use it

All data is used only to provide the bot's features to the server it belongs to (for example, to show your rank or to know which role to give). The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating the requested features (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Third parties

  • Discord: the platform the bot runs on.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: hosts the bot and its database.
  • Cloudflare: hosts this website.
  • YouTube, Twitch and GitHub: only public information (new videos, streams, issues) is requested from them. No user data is sent to these services.

6. Retention and deletion

When Strudel is removed from a server, all data belonging to that server is deleted automatically. Temporary voice channel records are removed when the channel is deleted. You can request deletion of your own data at any time by emailing support@strudel.rip with your Discord user ID.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Contact us to use any of these rights.

8. Children

The bot is intended for users who meet Discord's minimum age requirement in their country.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
